Sheldon Spanked Amy! On “The Big Bang Theory”
I am still stunned that tonight’s Big Bang Theory (episode title was “The Fish Guts Displacement”) ended with a funny, sweet, awkward disciplinary spanking scene between Sheldon and Amy.
Let’s set the scene. Amy had the flu. She guilt-tripped Sheldon into taking care of her, and she enjoyed that so much (she got him to rub Vicks Vapo-Rub all over her chest, and she made Sheldon “help” her take many baths) that she continued pretending to be sick after she had (in truth) recovered. But eventually Sheldon discovered her ruse, and she was busted.
Amy: “I feel terrible I did this.”
Sheldon: “It pains me to say it, but I think some form of penalty is in order, so as to discourage this type of behavior in the future.”
Amy: (She sighs, looks hangdog) “I suppose that’s fair. What do you suggest?”
Sheldon: “In a perfect world, I’d lock you in a stockade in the public square. But that probably requires a permit.”
Amy: (channeling Br’er Rabbit) “I could not be allowed to go the next Star Trek movie…”
Sheldon: “Oh, that seems overly harsh! You gave into a human weakness, you didn’t kill a man.” (pause) “You know, it’s tad old-school, but my father was not one to spare the rod when my brother would sneak into his truck and drink his driving whiskey.”
Amy: (She speaks in a small but clearly anticipatory voice) “Are you saying you wanna spank me?”
Sheldon: “I don’t want to! But it looks like…you left me no choice!”
Amy: (She covers her mouth with her hand) “That’s true.” (Long pause before she resumes in a husky voice, emphasizing every word) “I’ve been a very bad girl.” (She shrugs, helplessly.)
Sheldon: “Are you prepared to receive your punishment?”
Amy: (She nods) “One second. I want to put on some music.”
Sheldon: “Why?”
Amy: “I don’t want to disturb the people next door while you discipline me.” (She gestures with a remote control; sexy music comes on.)
Sheldon: “Very well then.” (He pats his knees, moves closer on the couch.) “Get over my knee! Let’s begin.”
Amy: (She crawls over Sheldon’s lap wearing her ruffled flannel nightgown. He swats her once, very lightly. She wriggles her butt, grins with obvious pleasure.) “Oh, my!”
Sheldon: “Excuse me! You’re not supposed to be enjoying this.”
Amy: “Then maybe you should spank me harder.
Sheldon: “Maybe I will!” (He gives her a very robust swat.)
Amy: “Oooh ooh, ooh!”
