Erica Scott: Interviewed!
By serendipity, I just discovered that Erica Scott recently posted a rare (first in years!) blog update, in which we learn (among other things) that she was interviewed on two recent episodes of Spanko! Podcast:

I fell out of the habit of listening to podcasts a few years ago when Apple “updated” their podcast listening app to a condition of uselessness and I couldn’t find a replacement that suited me in the app store. So, somehow, I didn’t know about the Spanko! Podcast, which it seems I should have. Their website doesn’t appear to have an easily-accessible full index/list of episodes, but scrolling through recent ones five at a time, the episodes look fun and interesting!
So good to hear Erica Scott’s voice again!

Fascinating interview. Thanks for sharing, SpankBoss. Given all the times I’ve seen Ms. Scott’s bottom, and read her blog, I can’t recall ever having seen one of her videos or heard her voice.
In years of consuming porn, I’ve actually paid for only two DVDs and never purchased any streaming content.
I’m not saying quality content isn’t worth buying (we spend money on all sorts of discretionary consumables). I’m just wondering what percentage of Spankos out there are in the same boat.
Goddess, there was a time when I made some small actual money from affiliate links to spanking porn on this blog, but that was many years ago. In those days the spanking porn market was robust, with many major competitors and lots of active models on social media talking about doing frequent shoots. These day, a few of the “old faithful” producers remain, but where I have affiliate links, they don’t generate many sales, and it can be hard to tell which of those producers are actually shooting and selling new content versus recycling old shoots to the front pages of their websites. Changes to social media (and to my own social media consumption habits) make direct comparisons very difficult, but I don’t see a thriving community of models online talking about their frequent shoots for spanking porn producers as I once did. I feel comfortable saying it’s probably a difficult market in which to produce and sell spanking porn. You’re surely not the only one whose porn consumption habits have never matched up squarely with your media purchases, and this is only one of the structural challenges porn producers struggle with.
