There’s an infamous book called The Mirror Of The Martyrs, full of horrendous illustrations of the vile treatment to which various Christian martyrs are said to have suffered. It’s sufficiently fictional, or at least fanciful, for me to be comfortable sharing this etching, depicting the whipping of a martyr named Jullieta:
Laci Laine makes a plausible “schoolgirl”. A naughty one, of course; here she is, loitering and smoking in the hallways during class period.
You know what happens to naughty schoolgirls who get caught where they shouldn’t be. Spanking!
