I doubt very much that Jessica Alba being whipped in Sin City was a scene that escaped the notice of many Spanking Blog readers. But if it tickled your fancy — and it might not have, being a fairly brutal scene — you no doubt wished you could see a little more of her.

OK, we’ve all seen the bad spanking porn where the model starts yelling and screaming like a stuck piglet when she gets the first gentle tap on her bottom, right? So you’ll understand why, at first glance, I thought EverythingButt.com’s Tara Lynn Fox was going a little overboard with her facial reaction in this picture:

Trawling the web for spanking goodies as I do for this blog, I am frequently amused by the non-sexual ways in which spanking is used metaphorically. There’s a ton of it in sports, but today I discovered this rare gem from the normally-staid world of financial writing:

Two reports came out this week: Forbes’ annual World’s Billionaires list, and the Federal Reserve’s Flow of Funds, which tracks average household net worths. Compare the two, and you get a nice snapshot of how billionaires fared in 2009 versus us mere mortals.
And to put it mildly, they gave us a pants-down spanking.
The combined net worth of the world’s billionaires rose to $3.6 trillion, up from $2.4 trillion the year before…
