I found this on a Japanese tumblr site; I love the way the spectator is sort of shrinking away, but limited by the fact that the couch is only so long:

    This is a really good photograph. Whether she is shrinking away in empathy for the victim, or in apprehension because her turn is next, it is hard to say. But the one on the right brings dramatic tension to the moment in time caught by the camera, since the face of the spankee is obscured, and the spanker is statuesque in her solemnity.

    The one on the right also brings a necessary compositional balance to the frame, as without her leaning away, the picture would look over-weighted to the left.
