On this day one year ago, I posted the first post on this spanking blog and (as near as I can tell) thereby invented spanking blogs. (Although BDSM and master/slave journals and blogs have been around since forever.)

This blog has been a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to many more years of doing it. I’ve made some excellent online friends and (indirectly via a site I only discovered while mining for links) found Bethie to love and to spank. So I can honestly say that right now starting this blog strikes me as one of my better moves. {grin}

I do however have a confession to make. When I started this blog, my primary motivation was to see if I could get the number one Google result for the word “spanking”. A year later, I’m sitting at number three (it varies, I was briefly down at seven or so yesterday), and I’ve been as high as number two on a good day. Spanking.com is going to be a tough nut to crack — but I’m not giving up yet!

Lately I’ve much enjoyed playing with Bethie and a broad leather belt I bought at the thrift store. The belt makes a good snapping noise when it lands, it sets up a most fetching impact ripple, and it contributes readily to bottom redness (although not so readily as my other new favorite toy, the Monster Rubber Spatula).
