Whip Tip On A Breast

As Bethie will be quick to tell you, any time I pick up a whippy cane or any thin flexible implement, it’s not the strike she worries about, it’s the wrap-around. I think this whipping drawing found via the HQseek spanking porn link list illustrates the extreme case:

What’s it say when He’s deliberately after the wraparound right there?

He is *such* a meanie pants.

It says he likes to hear you squeal, duh.

    Next question? ;-)

    Good answer.

I suppose any other question I’d have would have the same answer. ;-)

This isn’t SM. This is ill-treating – not to say torture. Why do you publish this on a SM-Website?

  5. SpankBoss commented on August 19th, 2007:

LOL, and another one of the kink classifiers heard from.

First of all, this is not an “SM” website. It’s an erotic spanking website, but I’ve been publishing for four and a half long years, sometimes I like to mix it up a bit. And a lot of the folks who enjoy a good spanking also enjoy a drawing or a photograph of something more severe, even if they wouldn’t want to do it. I publish whatever I think a lot of my readers might enjoy. End of story.

Sekhmet, what you’re doing is a standard thing for folks who aren’t comfortable with all the corners of their own kink. I get this all the time. What happens is, folks say “spanking isn’t BDSM, so it’s OK, I’m not really kinky” or they say “I like spanking, but not all those whips and chains and kinky stuff” or whatever.

The problem is, that’s judgmental. It’s a way of saying “what I do is OK, but what those folks do is not OK.” And I reject that. It’s narrow minded. It’s a lazy, frightened way of feeling OK about yourself, as opposed to a more open-minded celebration of all aspects of human kink, including the bits (no breast whipping for Sekhmet, it would seem!) that you don’t personally like.

Ink on paper never hurt anybody. So what’s the harm?

  6. Sekhmet commented on August 20th, 2007:

The harm ist that this drawing shows no “kink” but a scene, where someone is severely hurted, and it does not look like an enjoying procedere for HER. “He only likes do hear her squeal…???” Sad impression.

I think for most people BDSM ist something to enjoy BOTH participants, not only the top. That is the difference between sadomasochism and pure brutal sadism. And for me also the difference between an erotic illustration and – for example – a picture from a whipping punishment in a jailhouse.

Besides – I do not judge your person – just your drawing.

And I thing you are the one who is jugdemental when you say that folks are not comfortable with all the corners of their own kink. What do you know about the kinks of other people, I wonder.

So? It’s a fantasy. There is no “her”, just lines on your computer screen. No actual titties were harmed in the making of this cartoon.

Sadism — enjoyment of the pain of others — is a kink. And there’s nothing wrong with it so long as that pain is — when it’s real — consensual.

“I think for most people BDSM ist something to enjoy BOTH participants.”

I think so too. And your point is? There is no person in this cartoon. The cartoon girl is not a participant in anything, because she does not exist.

“That is the difference between sadomasochism and pure brutal sadism.”

You say “pure brutal sadism” like it’s a bad thing. Like you’re condemning it. Which is why I’m on your case. Nothing wrong with brutal sadism — or any other kind — unless it’s practiced on an actual, unconsenting human victim.

“Besides – I do not judge your person – just your drawing.”

First of all, it’s not my drawing, I just found it on the internets. But when you wrote “Why do you publish this” you were indeed judging me and the drawing. You were suggesting, certainly, that I should not have published it; and it seems you were also suggesting that it should never have been drawn.

“What do you know about the kinks of other people, I wonder.”

I know that they come here, once or twice a month, and they try to tell me what kind of kink is “OK” (invariably, the kind they like) and what kind is not OK, just the way you did. From this, I have learned a common pattern about kinky people. They often (we often) sort kinks into categories. There’s my kink, soft and friendly and consensual and cuddly, and there’s all that other horrid kink that the mean nasty perverts do (“brutal”, “not SM”, “not erotic”, “torture”, “pure sadism”, et cetera.)

Sorry, but I refuse to play that game. You don’t get to come here and bitch about the kink you don’t like in order to feel better about the kink you do like. Grow up, accept your own kink, embrace your inner pervert, and get on with your life. Don’t go around the internets trying to make other perverts feel bad about their kink so that you can feel better about yours.

Or, at least, don’t do it here.

What is the difference between a “flogging” and a “whipping” ? Are they the same thing? Or is there some fine difference between the two words that the connoisseur is aware of?

  9. SpankBoss commented on September 4th, 2007:

April, it depends a bit on context, but flogging usually refers to whipping or beating with a whip that has multiple tails. In modern BDSM parlance, flogging implies use of a flogger, a whip having many tails, often fairly broad or soft ones such as thin suede strips. Flogging often (depending on the flogger used) is very sensual, and many people don’t find it at all painful, likening it to a vigorous massage.

However, in the old British naval tradition and many similar military contexts, flogging was the generic term for military corporal punishment. Whips like the infamous cat-o-nine-tails were used; these had many tails, but were tightly braided of rigid leather and made more brutal with knots and even sharp objects or metal weights braided into the tips. Those floggings could kill, and short of that, often resulted in massive laceration and dreadful scarring. Much, of course, depended on the severity of the officers responsible for the punishments.

The image in this post shows what I’d call a whipping.

    Hope that helps!

Reading this arguement between you and Sekhmet, I’m begining to think that he is of the opinion, (and I may consider backing him !) that there must be something inherently wrong with you if you can’t show written consent from the, obviously tortured woman, depicted in your/the drawing. She is so life-like as to be real !
On a more realistic note, it may be worth asking him if he switches the tv over or shouts at it when there’s something on he doesn’t agree with.
Compared to what really happens to a person when tortured, I think the picture is titilating.

I like the other woman in the background. Still fully clothed but evidently soon to be stripped and punished. Adds a nice counterpoint to the naked one being whipped.
