Automated Judicial Spankings

If your society must have judicial corporal punishment, it only makes sense to have a spanking machine to standardize the spankings, right? I mean, we wouldn’t want bias or invidious discrimination to result in a situation where some of the sentences are less painful than other, nominally identical punishments.
