“No To The Cane” In Schools

Spanking Blog has always taken a firm editorial stance against the corporal punishment of children. So we are in strongest editorial solidarity with these 1970s activists who gathered in Hyde Park in London on the 17th of May, 1972, to protest against corporal punishment in British schools:

It is therefore ironic that one of the anti-caning protesters may be seen smoking a cigarette in the photograph. That vile and infamously self-destructive vice is, after all, the sort of misbehavior that often inspired school canings in the first place!
