Email Dirty To Me

I’ve speculated before about the possibility that a particular genre of short, odd, illiterate, spanking emails is akin to the heavy breathing phone call — an attempt to connect with a human being who will engage in emailed communication that’s of sexual significance to the initiator of the exchange, if perhaps to no one else. Now there’s an additional bit of evidence from Analyze Julie that I’m right. She indulged one of these email writers, and it didn’t take long for him to get to his true agenda:

Well, Turin, I’m curious to hear more.

I believe, however, that someone who manages a library should be able to use apostrophes. I spank *smart* naughty boys. Impress me.

And are you local to me? I’m in the Detroit area.

Julie

Hello Julie,
No I am not in the Detroit area, I am in the Oklahoma area. Do you assign email spankings or only spank in person? are you a very strict spanker? I am naughty sometimes with regards to looking too hard at some of my cute librarians bottoms, peeking at their panties, I even mentioned to one girl I thought she should be spanked for not completing a task. What else may I tell you?
Thank you for writing
Turin

Hi Turin,

I’m sorry, but no, I don’t do stuff via email. I like engaging with people face to face. Sorry!

Thanks for writing, though.

I understand but would you just once tell me how youd spank me for my naughty behaviours?

There’s a lot more, but that’s the gist of it. He’s a wanker, and he’s just looking for someone “real” to write his Penthouse Letters for him. And that, I think, explains the extreme sloppiness and brevity of the initial contacts from these folks — they need to cast a lot of bread upon the waters, and they can’t afford to waste much time baking it.

I love the “write some custom porn for me for free” emails…

  2. Librarygirl commented on October 16th, 2005:

Every so often I get one of these emails. “I see you grew up in Texas. Were you ever paddled at school?” ; “How do you like to spank naughty girls?” – I’m guessing that was also from a guy.

But it wasn’t just emails. There were so many times I’d get an IM from someone asking me all sorts of questions and wanting detailed specific answers, but not telling me anything about himself.

Matt finally got me to understand that I wasn’t being “mean” or “rude” by not answering these people – these people were using me to get some sort of gratification.

So now I just delete them, sans guilt. (While I do love getting email, and enjoy reading email from people who have read my blog and want to start an email discussion… I don’t want to be anybody’s personal porn writer. Well – not without a hefty advance, anyway ;)

  3. ~Storm commented on October 16th, 2005:

Yeah I used to get those too. The whole “Well, tell me anyway what you would do to me” email.

Like I have the time or the inclination to give him material to wank to.

I’m with Librarygirl. I love getting emails from people who read my blog, or comments on the site, but don’t want to be anyone’s story teller.

  4. Bonnie commented on October 16th, 2005:

I too receive this sort of e-mail periodically. I have a difficult time telling people to get lost, even when they are obviously wasting my time. More often, I just don’t answer at all.

Like Librarygirl, I like to hear legitimate comments about my blog. But there has to be some reasonable limit to the types of conversations in which I will engage. I am not looking for a new partner for love, for play, or for anything else. Anyone who has ever read my blog at all should know that.

The poor grammar, odd spelling, and IM-abbreviations seem to be a common characteristic. As a professional writer, these goofs don’t impress me.

I created the blog to share some of my writing and explore my spanking interest. Although it’s been truly fun, my greatest hope is that I can reassure someone who is ambivalent about this lifestyle and their place in it. Much of what is written about adult spanking portrays the practice as unhealthy at best and disturbingly deviant at worst. That description doesn’t fit with my experience at all. I strive to present spankings in the context of a happy, fulfilling relationship.

If some guy wants to wank to my blog, I have no problem with that. Just please leave me out of the transaction!

I have an entirely different perspective on this and perhaps that is because I love to tell a good story and I love to arouse. But I can understand your point of view as well. I always welcome this sort of email, unless they bore me right off the bat then I’ll just ignore them but if they can peak my interest and get my imaginative juices flowing I’ll give them their wanking juice!

    Nice blog!

While I can’t believe someone would be that appallingly rude and clueless, I’m a little surprised that it was published. Is it commonly accepted practice that a person’s private email would go on display like that?

  7. Kate commented on October 22nd, 2005:

I agree in general that its frustrating to get emails that seem to be from people looking for a quick and dirty fix, but … I have a lot of sympathy for them. I know there have been times when I’ve felt like I couldn’t talk about my feelings and desires about S&M to anyone I knew in person and so resorted sort of hopefully and fearfully to the internet — fearfully because I don’t want to find a psycho who’s going to rape me. Ive had enough disappointment online with people who think that wanting someone to spank me is equivalent to wanting someone to have sex with me without a condom or something, and for me it really really isn’t at all. It’s not that I mind that some people want sex and spanking to go together — I mind that they’re not clear about it up front, even when I am very clear. So I am guiltly of sending the short email to someone — just to see if they’re real, before I get too real myself…. Don’t know if anyone else understands that. And sometimes yes, I admit I’ve been looking for a quick fix because it’s a lonely world out there for people like us, sometimes — you can’t get a spanking from someone as easily as you can get sex, so the world is just that much lonelier. So yes, it’s a dumb email, and he could have capitalized… but I kind of feel a kin to him in a way I probably don’t want to admitt to myself too much.

[…] They do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so I guess you can color me flattered. I found a new spanking blog, thought it looked pretty neat, and started reading through it. I quickly discovered that five of the seventeen posts on it (including two pictures) were “borrowed” from Spanking Blog, without so much as a link credit. Not just coincidence — my words, cut and pasted and presented as this other blogger’s. In one case, an email I quoted from Analyze Julie was presented by this other blogger as “an email from a reader.” […]
