Cropped, Quite Cheerfully

I suppose if I had the old spanking magazine this Hardcastle artwork probably first appeared in, I might have a better idea why the girl about to get a good cropping appears so delighted by the situation. The man is benignly amused, while the woman with the crop is the unhappiest person in the room:

    Its from Janus 70. Its printed with a letter from a reader in Frinton-on-sea (UK). I have only skimmed through it but I can’t see any reference to the picture, I quit certain that sort of thing doesn’t go on in Frinton.

    This piece catches me because of its black and white nature and charcoal and stencil work is detailed enough to bring tears to my eyes and light a spark. I love this piece because of the reactions of spanker and spankee, the position she is in, and the scene includes a man who listens in in the background. The woman bent over the stand is craving discipline with a smile while the woman holding the switch is stern and unmoved.
