I don’t know the origins of this military punishment artwork, but I can see the date “1863” in pencil lower right:
Yes, that’s probably a man getting flogged on the whipping bench. If you’re one of the die-hard “never want to see a spanked male buttock” people: Sorry, but try to deal, OK?
