I believe this is what bratting looked like in 1906. On the next cabinet card (if only we had it!) she’s probably over his knee on the bench, nothing visible but her bare bottom and a mound of skirts piled up over her head and shoulders and arms:

woman gets ready to swat her man when he\'s not expecting it -- she wants a spanking!
