Your RealPlayer, sadly, is the root of your problem — that program is for playing .rm, .ram, and related movie formats. These files are in .wmv format, which has become the default porn standard. I suspect your computer has somehow gotten its file associations tweaked so that your RealPlayer is trying to play every possible media format, and then telling you your .wmv files are “corrupt” when in fact they simply aren’t .rm files.

To fix it, save one of these .wmv files to desktop, then right click on it and select “properties”. You’ll see an “opens with” setting and a “change” button; if you click that, you should have the option to select “Windows Media Player” from a fairly long list. After making the selection, there’s a check box at the bottom of the selection window to “always” open your .WMVs with the selected program; you want to be sure and select that.
