In this day and age, there was of course no punishment, but the old classrooms felt like they held such history. I used to imagine being a fresh eighteen year old in the earlier part of the last century, excited to be away from home for the first time, free to do as I pleased, only to find that the punishments given to a grown girl are fare more severe.... naturally nuns and priests factored into these scenarios... oh, give me some of that old time religion.
